We are delighted to inform you that our Work Experience Programme has launched, and we are now open for applications! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many young people, and we would love for you to share this with your Year 10 & 12 students. Our Work Experience Programme is for anyone interested in Design, Architecture, Social Justice, Engineering, Sustainability, Creativity, Climate Change, Construction, or Community Development.

During the Programme, students will: 

·         Develop confidence in work skills including communication and teamwork. 

·         Visit locations around the city of Bristol, to learn from professionals about their workplace and jobs. 

·         Learn about a variety of job roles in STEAM industries. These job roles might include engineers, construction workers, software developers, designers, architects and more! 

·         Get involved with live projects at the Media Centre, KWMC The Factory, and the local community. 

·         Learn from professionals about career and education pathways into a variety of future workplaces. 

Please note that we only have 30 spaces available, and we will be prioritizing young people who live locally, and who we believe will benefit from the Programme the most. The dates that KWMC Work Experience is running are adhered to by the majority of our local schools. If this does not align with your school's schedule, please have students complete the form anyway, as we would love to explore other opportunities we can offer young people in our area. 

 

The application deadline is 19 December 2025. The young people will find out if you have a confirmed space in mid-January 2026. Once their space has been confirmed they will be given more information about the schedule of the week.
