Tech Mentor No-Code Hackathon
Technology is no longer just for the tech industry; it's shaping every career path, from healthcare and education to business, media, and even the arts. Skills like building apps, understanding AI, and solving real-world problems are becoming essential in almost every field. For students aged 14–18, learning these skills early can open doors to a wide range of opportunities, both inside and outside the tech world.
That's why I'm excited to invite your students to the Tech Mentor No-Code Hackathon, happening on Saturday, October 11th, from 10am to 4pm.

The Tech Mentor No-Code Hackathon event gives students hands-on experience creating apps and solving real-world problems. It also develops skills valuable in any career, such as:
Problem-solving: Learning how to approach challenges creatively and logically.
Teamwork: Collaborating with others to achieve a shared goal.
Communication: Presenting ideas clearly and effectively.
Adaptability: Gaining confidence in trying new things and learning from mistakes.
These are the kinds of skills that employers in every industry are looking for, whether it's in business, healthcare, education, or beyond.
The hackathon is open to students aged 14–18 (Years 10–13 / S3–S6 / Northern Irish Years 11–14) and is fully online, making it accessible to everyone. No prior coding experience is needed—students will use no-code platforms to build their apps, with guidance from experienced mentors throughout the day.
Here's what they'll gain:
- A chance to build their own app and tackle a real-world challenge.
- A portfolio of work they can showcase for jobs, apprenticeships, or university applications.
- A deeper understanding of how technology can be applied in fields like healthcare, education, and sustainability.
- A certificate of participation
- The cost is £15 per student, which covers platform and administration costs.
Students will be allocated to random groups on the day to keep the competition fair and enhance your networking experience! This is a chance for you to meet likeminded students beyond your school environment and start building your Tech Network!
Winners from this hackathon will be invited to the National Finals on 11th July 2026, where they'll compete for:
- 1st Place: £1,000 cash prize for the team and £100 to each winning team member's school.
- 2nd Place: £750 cash prize for the team.
- 3rd Place: £500 cash prize for the team.
Spaces are limited, so I encourage you to share this opportunity with your students and encourage them to register early to avoid disappointment.
