Good Morning Year 10,   If you missed out on the NHS placement Sirona Health has just opened their work experience application window to your school. We have opened our work experience booking window early for a small number of schools, including yours, before making it available to the wider BNSSG area (Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire).   The window will go live from today and students will then be able to book their work experience placement on our live booking platform.    Please note: the booking system link is for your school only at this stage. We kindly ask that you do not share it with other schools within your academy trust, as they will receive separate communication when the wider booking window opens on February 23 rd . The Medical and Dental Schools Council acknowledges virtual work experience as an equal alternative to in-person shadowing based on a discovery report conducted by Health Education England. I encourage students aged 14 and over, interested in becoming doctors or dentists to participate in our FREE National NHS Virtual Work Experience programme. We are pleased to offer a variety of medical and dental specialties, with a focus this month on Palliative Care and Public Health & Oral Pathology. In one section, they asked for information to be filled out by the teacher. If you are happy to do so, please complete it.   We are pleased to let you know that we will soon be opening our work experience application window to your school.    The window will go live for your school from 12th January  , on which date we will send you the booking link. You will then be able to book your work experience placement on their live booking platform.  I will send out the link when I receive it. Remember they can only take 4-6 students and it is most of the time not the week we have our placement. So don't wait until the 12 th  Jan, you should be applying for other placements too!
